Zu Online is a Fantasy-based and Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing (MMORPG) video game created by IGG for Microsoft Windows. The game takes place in the fictional universe of ZU, the mythical mountain range in Sichuan, China, which the warriors describe as home to immortals with unique and awesome powers. In the plot, the conflict broke out in the past between the evil demons and the good immortals. It began when Blood Demon controlled the demon assault to the fictional world of Zu. In the midst of the conflict, the relic called Oracle Rock was built with the Scripture inscribed on the land that kept the secrets to fend off the Blood Demon. There are five different character classes available, and the player can select one of them such as Summoner, Moon Maiden, Bead Fairy, Swordsman, and more. During the gameplay, the player can join a guild and can compete for the specific areas that are unconquered. In the game, the player gets a starting pet from the level 0 quests and then is able to equip a pet by clicking it in his inventory. Non-player Characters provide players with automated battles between regions.

During the gameplay, the player can purchase new ships, build his crew, hire workers and officers who will follow the player on his quests and assist him in battles. The environment of the game takes place both on land and at sea and enables the player to customize and upgrade his character by collecting skill points and unlock new abilities. The player explores the land from a third-person perspective and can battle against enemies using a variety of weapons to earn points.
