Yume Nikki is a Single-player Action, Adventure and RPG video game by Kikiyama, a developer from Japanese origins. The story of the game revolves around a Socially Isolated character of a girl named as Madotsuki. Madotsuki travels through her horror filled dreams where she encounters all kinds surreal and bizarre creatures such as a disembodied character of a head named as Uboa, a girl with five arms and loads of other creatures. The players are tasked to control the character of Madotsuki, travel through the dream world based on the map of Madotsuki’s real world room, reach down to the twelve door nexus (each door leads to a different world with different characters and objects such as Neon Maze, Forest, a world filled with Numerical symbols and objects, a world filled with body parts, etc.), get into the world and solve various types of challenging puzzles. After all the puzzles in all of the worlds are completed, a massive world unlocks for the players to explore and enjoy the game to full extent. The players must collect all the twenty four objects (Effects) from all of the dream worlds, interact with objects and keep on going on and on. If the game seems so bizarre and the horror takes over, players can always wake Madotsuki and save the game. NPCs in the game are all the enemies and they can be killed with the Knife Effect, but if the players are not able to kill the NPCs, the teleport the players to any of the unescapable areas of the game world. Being locked inside an inescapable area wakes Madotsuki and the players gets forced back to the Nexus. With a variety of different elements, Horror filled gameplay, dreamy and surreal visuals, and the background sounds, and a remarkable story, Yume Nikki is a brilliant Adventure and RPG video game to play and enjoy.
