Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses is a Card, Single-player and Multiplayer Simulation developed by Konami for the PlayStation 2 platform. The game takes place on a 7×7 table, and the player starts the game by creating his deck of cards and then jump into the competition with the aim to take down the rival players. The player aims to gather as many points as possible by defeating enemies and using the points to unlock powerful cards. Up to forty cards are needed to duel and each card has a deck cost which is a value offered to a card based on its strength. The game is loosely based on the real-world Wars of the Roses, a series of a conflict fought between the House of York and the House of Lancaster over the control of England in the fifteenth century. The game revolves around turn-based gameplay, in which the player must deploy his card on the board against his opponent to attack. There are three different terrains such as Crush, Labyrinth, and ATK. With immersive gameplay, superb mechanics, and cool graphics, Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses is a good game to play.

The game features six unique heroes and enables the player to select one of them to experience the fast-paced and thrilling tactical gameplay. In the beginning, the player needs to select his quest and struggle to complete it to earn unique rewards which can be used to turn the tide of the battle. On accomplishing the quest, the player can select from good or evil. Turning to evil or good modify the abilities of the player can use, but also the properties and power of the cards. The player can react to his opponent during the gameplay and can change the strategy and the cards in his hand focused on the decisions the player make. The game is designed for up to player co-op, and it enables the player to team up with a friend or a stranger to learn how to play the game, working together to defeat the challenging Raid bosses.
