X-COM: Interceptor
X-COM: Interceptor serves as the 4th title in the series of X-COM, published and developed by MicroProse for Microsoft Windows. The game is a mix of multiple genres, including Strategy, Business and Flight Simulation. During the gameplay, the role of the player includes managing the space stations, controlling space fighters during hostile encounters. The storyline takes place in the futuristic year 2067, when the resource of the planet Earth are nearly depleted. The corporation of the planet Earth known as The Frontier, ventures into space to find the raw materials required for humans. When the corporation arrivers, they face neighborhood enemies who are already present for resources. In the game, the player command an elite force that has been built to battle against aliens in space. Unlike previous editions, the title focuses on space combat, where the player pilot a Starfighter to defend the human corporations set up to collect resources in the Frontier. XCOM 2: War of the Chosen is a Downloadable Content Pack for the XCOM 2 and focuses on Turn-based Tactics gameplay published by 2K Games and developed by Firaxis Games. The game supports both Single-player and Multiplayer modes and available to play on cross-platform. The DLC pack changes the campaign structure and brings new hero characters, new enemies, modifiers and more. It includes a new set of aliens called the Chosen, a set of three warriors tasked to defeat the XCOM and capture the commander by the Elders such as the Hunter, the Assassin, and the Warlock each with its unique skills and abilities. The Assassin uses the stealth element and is able to abduct the soldiers of the player directly from the playfield, the Warlock uses the psionic powers and can summon enemies during the fight and the Hunter can use long-range rifles to kill his targets. There are a variety of missions, and each mission needs a completion of specific objectives to progress through the game. As the storyline progresses, the Chosen get access to new abilities over time and become able to release an attack on the Avengers.
