Worms W.M.D is an Artillery-based, Strategy, Single and Multiplayer video game created and published by Team17. The game combines the 2D, Turn-based Tactics, and Side-scroll elements and it is the marvelous title in the series of Worms. It introduces new features ranging from building that the worms get into for protection, to interactive vehicles such as the tank. The fully destructive environment available where the game takes place and allows the player to choose his character to start the game against other characters. The player needs to explore the environment from the side-scroll perspective, take aim and shoot at enemies during his turn to kill them. There are a variety of levels and each level offers the unique environment and a set of objectives to complete. The game offers both Single-player and Multiplayer modes and takes place within a world history museum. The player controls the worms to retrieve the valuable stone carrot of donkey from the lord named as Crowley-Mesmer, a vicious worm who is trying to take over the world using this stone. It offers the similar gameplay to its previous titles, in which the teams of worms take turns to use a series of items and weapons to remove the opposing team. The game uses the brand new mechanics, introduced in Worms Resolution, where the player could choose his team of worms from four different worm classes such as Heavy, Scientist, Scout, and Soldier. There are up to sixty-five weapons available, and the player can use his favourite to eliminate the members of opposing team. It offers a 3D environment and offers the fully destructible world where the player can move from a side-scroll perspective. With new weapons, improved graphics, and smooth controls, Worms Battlegrounds is the wonderful game to play and enjoy.
