World’s Scariest Police Chases offers a mix of Action, Driving, and Third-person Racing gameplay elements, developed by Unique Development Studios AB for PlayStation. The game is set in an open world environment, offering the similar to gameplay to Driver 2. In the game, the player joins the protagonist named Sheriff Jon Bunnell in police chases. It takes the player in the fictional city, known as Ashland. The player is free to patrol the environment or take on a set of twenty challenging missions. However, the first four missions are based on tutorials, and the rest of missions involve defeating increasingly difficult criminals. All the criminals range from a simple DUI or car thief to drug dealers, a runaway tank, and a bank robber. Once the player reaches the criminals, he must either pursue them or shoot them until they are forced to stop. In the game, the player drives his car from a third-person perspective, behind the car, and he aims to fulfill the requirements of each level to advance through the game. In the start, the player must select his car and then attempt to apprehend suspect to advance.

While driving, the player must avoid traffic, gather pick-ups to assist him through your chase. Here the player has an opportunity to show off his racing skills. There are twenty-four different police and other vehicles that the player can choose and upgrade using parts to become the racer. The game takes place in the world span three locations where the player can unlock six types of upgrades, and each has five slots.
