World in Conflict: Soviet Assault is a Single-player and Multiplayer Real-time Strategy video game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows. This title is an expansion pack that comes with the ability to play the game as the Soviet Union in the Single-player campaign. It takes place in the alternate 1989, in which the Soviet Union’s the Politburo elects to command the military action to sustain itself, rather than collapse. However, failing to obtain help diplomatically, the Soviet Union threatens Western Europe and the Pacific Northwest areas of the United States. In the game, the player takes on the role of the protagonist named Romanov, who is a lieutenant in the Soviet Army, works under the command of Colonel Vladimir Orlovsky. The Multiplayer mode of the game supports sixteen players simultaneously. The expansion pack comes with six new Single-player missions and two new multiplayer maps to explore. The game integrates newly introduced tasks with the current US campaign. With addictive gameplay, superb mechanics, and cool features, World in Conflict: Soviet Assault is an excellent game to play.
