The game offers an addictive gameplay based on anime and manage series known as Hajime No Ippo. During the fight, the player can use the Wii controller to mimic the moves and struggle to knock out the competitors from the round. The game mainly revolves around arcade-style boxing element with 3D character fighting gameplay. The player selects his playable character from available fighters and can controls from a third-person perspective. In each round, the player can perform offensive moves such as uppercuts, jabs, hooks, and straights. He can also execute defensive moves like swaying and ducking. The game displays the amount of punches that have landed on opponent in between rounds. Unlike previous titles, it introduces head-ups display for the damage and time.
