Valkyria Revolution is an Action Role-playing and Single-player video game developed by Sega CS3 and published by Deep Silver. The game acts as a spin-off of the Valkyria Chronicles video game series, takes place in a different universe. It mixes the Action RPG gameplay with strategy elements, and the game’s flow comprises the player getting ready at his base, embarking on a mission obtain the objectives. After completing the tasks, the player has to return to the base again to advance through the game. Like Rogue-like games, the game introduces the permanent death feature for the characters, but the player is capable of retrying if dies. The Turn-based combat feature was replaced with the active combat system, found in Valkyria Chronicles. In the game, the player commands a team of up to four members with different professions, including scouts, shock troopers, and massive defense. During the gameplay, the player can control only one character at a time, selected priorities can influence the AI behavior of the teammates.
