It is the first title in the series of Ty the Tasmanian Tiger game and takes place on the fictional Australian Island. The story centers on the titular character and his effort to find the Thunder Eggs to power a machine to search five scattered talismans and rescue his family. According to the story, the family of the protagonist has been trapped in the Dreamtime by the series antagonist named as Boss Cass. The primary objective is to explore the world from a third-person perspective, locate up to 17 Thunder Eggs and fulfill his tasks to progress through the game. The player has a certain amount of lives, which are lost when the player is attacked by a foe or falls from a height. The game rewards the player with points that he can use to unlock further content in the game to have fun. Wario possesses several new moves that let him perform powerful ground punches, stunning all the nearby enemies.
