Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 is a 3rd installment in the series of Trauma Center and the sequel to Trauma Center: Under the Knife created and published by Atlus. The game features Single-player mode and offers the similar gameplay to its predecessors, introducing enhanced mechanics, improved graphics and realistic surgical instruments. The story is split into several chapters and in each chapter, the player needs to complete an operation using different instruments. There are various surgical instruments available such as drain, magnification tool, syringe, wire, ultrasound, forceps and more. The story starts from the year 2021, where the protagonist named as Dr. Derek Stiles and his nurse (Angie Thompson) traverse to the Africa to help out their hospitals. Assume the role of the doctor, progress through the story by completing several operation and unlock new modes and chapters to become the master. After accomplishing the story mode, the player gets access to the sound test, where he can listen more than eighteen different tracks, as well as the sound effects and voice-over of the game.
