Top Gun is an Action, First-person Perspective, and Single-player Flight Simulation developed and published by Konami for NES. The gameplay is loosely based on the movie of the same name, and it introduces action has its foremost genre, offering fantastic gameplay in which the player needs to pilot an F-14 Tomcat fighter through four different locations. Throughout the gameplay, the player plays the role of the commander with the primary mission of defending bases, colonies, space stations. The player must eliminate multiple aliens who attempt to grab and rule the power cores of the world in this top-down perspective. The game permits the player to construct different towers that can assault and clear a way for the aliens.
If an alien reaches the power core housing, the player has to kill the alien on its way back for the protection of core housing. Various towers give different capacities that are beneficial against various kinds of aliens, so the player must form a defensive strategy to protect the cores against all types of strange creatures.
