Tokyo Beat Down is a Single-player Beat ‘em up video game developed by Tamsoft and published by Success for Nintendo DS. The game takes place in the classic world where the player has to fight against enemies and take down them to bring the peace back to the land. The storyline is set in Yaesu, the home of the Beast Cops. Like the name, these Beast Cops have a different method to take criminals down in the fictional Tokyo. After selecting the character, the player navigates the environment from a side-scroll perspective, and his main objective is to fight his way through a set of levels to slay enemies and pick up power-ups to refill his health bar. The game increases the level of difficulty as the player learn the basics and reaches to the specific location. Each level starts with a cut scene, showing the images of the player and the targets. During the gameplay, the player can perform deadly moves to take down enemies. Tokyo Beat Down includes core features such as 2D Environment, Side-scrolling Beat ‘em up Gameplay, and more.

Up to four players can play together in the form of the team either on online or local multiplayer. The game provides the player with a basic control setup, using which the player can perform a special attack, jump, and more in addition to movement.
