The Lord of the Rings: War of the Ring is an RPG, Strategy, Single-player, and Multiplayer video game developed by Liquid Entertainment. Throughout the game, the player serves as a commander where the primary goal is to command the troops on the battlefield and beat the opposing armies. It all depends on the player’s strategy to rewrite the historical battles or let the armies face failures.
The game offers two different campaigns, such as a good and an evil campaign. The multiplayer mode offers the players to fight against either the computer or other players via an internet connection. The game has several variations, like Razing and Survival. There are two factions, such as The Free People and The Minions.
The Free people include men, elves, dwarves, whereas the Minions contain orcs, goblins, wargs, and Mirkwood’s giant spiders. The game allows the player to use armies, including allies that assist the player in fighting the battles. The player can use fate points earned in combat to purchase special abilities and activate special moves for the soldiers.

The game has allowed the player to use five major sword attacks that include an upward swipe, a downward swipe, a left swipe, a right swipe, and a thrust. The player can use a secondary weapon to thrust attacks, such as a shield, spear, or a torch. The player can perform chain attacks, which increase the power of an individual attack. The game has two characters such as Aragorn and Frodo, with a unique playstyle.
In the co-op mode, the second player can control other characters, and both the player remains interconnected. The second player can heal the main protagonist or grant certain boosts to him by casting spells.
