The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is an Action-Adventure and Single-player video game developed by Nintendo EAD. The game acts as the seventeenth title in the series of The Legend of Zelda video game and the successful successor to the installment The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, released in 1991. It puts the player in the role of the protagonist, a young boy named as Link, who is tasked to restore the peace the beautiful kingdom of Hyrule, after the destruction by sorcerer named Yoga, who abducts the Princess Zelda and flees through rift to the destructible world famous as Lorule. According to the plot, Yuga are searching to abduct the seven sages and wants to use their special powers to resurrect the Demon King named as Ganon. The game takes place in the 3D environment where the player with experience the top-down perspective. The player embarks on a challenging adventure to save the Seven Saga from kidnapped by Yuga and struggle to restore the peace by defeating the primary antagonist of the game. The game introduces 3D Cel-shaded graphics, and the player can use the overhead camera to explore the environment. The storyline follows the journey of the protagonist named as Link, who struggles to rescue his friend by the name Tetra from the antagonist named as Bellum. Like previous titles, the player explores the land to find new items, information and allies to assist him in rescuing his fellow. There are two different gameplay types such as navigating the Islands and dungeons on foot and sailing between islands. While on the surface, the player can discover and use many items including bombs, bow and boomerang. The game introduces one-on-one battle mode, in which the player can battle against the enemy and can defeat him to earn points.
