The extra mode of the game based on the first two titles such as KOF ’94 and KOF ’95. Like these games, the player must struggle to fill the power gauge by charging it or defeat the opponents and defend their attack in one-on-one matches. Advanced mode of the game focused on the previous title in the series, KOF ’96, but it comes with a revamped Power Gauge. The player needs to strike the opponent or perform special moves, instead of charging the Power Gauge.
