The King of Fighters 2000 is a Fighting, Arcade, and Multiplayer video game developed by SNK. It serves as the seventh main installment in The King of Fighters series and offers the same gameplay to the previous releases. During the gameplay, the player has to battle against the enemies and wins the match by defeating the rivals.

The game has an Active Striker System, which permits the player to call a Striker part at any stage, such as when the player attacks the opponents or vice-versa, and the player can utilize their strikers in combos. The player can recharge Strike Bombs by either losing rounds or insulting the rival.

The player has two options, such as whether to select the Striker individual from the group or a substitute character known as Another Striker, who uses the striker assaults independently. The multiplayer mode allows the player to challenge a fight against a friend to test the player’s fighting skills.
