The Hell in Vietnam is a First-person Shooter, and Single-player Vietnam War-oriented video game developed and published by City Interactive for PC. The storyline takes place in October 1967, after the hard training at a school for the Special Forces that was moved to a temporary military base in Don Dien. The game lets the player take on the role of the team leader of four men. There are eight challenging missions, and each task offers the detailed models of the United States Army weaponry from 1968. In the game, the player needs to complete several goals, including smashing a radio and mining a road. The player navigates the environment from a first-person viewpoint, and his main objective is to use military-based weapons to dominate the environment. The game rewards the player with points for each enemy kill and the player use that points to unlock further content and upgrades. During the gameplay, the player discovers two rail shooter sequences on a chopper and a boat respectively. During the gameplay, the player needs to work his way along, but sometimes he has three AI companions to help him out on challenging missions.

The story of the game is set in the fictional war where the Venezuelan battle is taking place. In the beginning, he sends his soldiers to seize the oil refinery than invades to deploy nuclear weapons if the United States continues meddle in the affairs of his country. After that, two CIA agents named as Reggie Lang and Lincoln are sent on an epic mission to defeat General Ramirez. The player explores the environment using a first-person perspective, instead of a third-person viewpoint using in four previous installments. It acts as the first release in the series to be not featuring four main characters.
