The Goonies II is a Platform, Metroidvania, and Single-player video game created and published by Konami for NES in 1987. The game is the sequel to the previous release, and it comes with several improvements and modifications. The storyline of the game follows the same character as the original, named Mikey. According to the plot, the friends of the protagonist, the Goonies have been abducted by the Fratellis, a family of small crooks and counterfeiters. Now, the player must save all six of his friends and also save a trapped mermaid named Annie. It has two different modes such as First-person and Platform. Most of the game is played like the previous style as the player works through a non-linear map. During the gameplay, the player controls Mikey to new lands of the map using the ladders or doors that may serve as warp zones. Different types of zones are discovered, and each comes with distinct enemies, music, and graphics. There are a set of weapons that the player uses while playing the game to take down enemies.
