The End Is Nigh is a Side-scroll Platform, Adventure and Single-player video game created and published by Edmund McMillen for multiple platforms. The game serves as the successor to Super Meat Boy, released by McMillen. It takes place in the stunning world where the player controls the character named as Ash, who is a small black blob. According to the story, the intro of the game shows the live streaming a retro-styled version of the protagonist with the same name, enabling the player to play through it. Upon the death of the player, the gameplay within the game crashes, and the protagonist tries to salvage the cartridge by taking it out the device. The player writes the letter, defining his situation next day. The player controls the character from a side-scroll perspective, jump from platform to platform while struggling to reach the end of each level.
