The Curse of Sherwood
The Curse of Sherwood is an Action-Adventure and Single-player video game that takes place in the fantasy-themed world, published by Mastertronic Ltd in 1987. The game is set in once a beautiful world known as Sherwood Forest, now the worst place controlled by an evil cult of Sagalia who has installed fear into the dwellers’ hearts.
According to the storyline, an attack has been released and failed by Robin Hood and his Merry Men. With another well-planned attack, Friar Tuck doesn’t consider this will be enough once again so he has managed the Bishop of Derby to carry out an exorcism.
However, when they badly failed to show, Friar Tuck set on an epic adventure in order to search for him but come across his dead body holding a parchment. In the game, the player explores the environment from a side-scroll perspective and can use arrows to attack make points.
There are several levels and each is full of enemies throwing knives toward the player and he must avoid them to keep progressing. With 2D Graphics, Classic Gameplay, and Good Mechanics, The Curse of Sherwood will take you back in the 80s.
