Tempest 4000 is a Shoot ‘em up and Single-player video game developed by Llamasoft and published by Atari, SA. In the game, the player pilots the Claw, a spacecraft that can shoot at obstruction and enemies. There are many levels, and each level takes place on the geometric prism. The main objective is to survive or complete each level by removing enemies as soon as the player can and achieve high scores for a higher position on the leaderboard. It introduces one-hundred levels, and the game has three modes such as Standard, Pure, and Endurance. The player explores the environment from a third-person perspective with an aim to battle against enemies, crush them for points and reach the end of each level to master. The level difficulty will be increased as the player advance through it, and the further level will be unlocked to experience. The player navigates the environment from a side-view with an aim to take down enemies to make points. In the game, the planetary surfaces tend to be riddled with caverns’ system, including maneuvering through them while face off the gravity is one of the game’s challenging. There are two different modes, in which the player needs to control his craft that can fire in several direction while in second mode, the direction of the fire is independent of the craft’s orientation.
