Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Projects is a Single-player and Multiplayer Beat ‘em up video game developed and published by Konami. The game uses the side-scroll perspective for its navigation and puts the player in the role of mutated creatures who needs to save the world by defeating evil creatures. It serves as the third installment in the series of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles released for NES. It introduces play mechanics which are similar to that of the previous title, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game, but it is marked as the original title for the NES without any arcade version. The game starts with a team of turtles enjoying their vacation in Florid. While seeing the latest news report of April O’Neil, her broadcast is suddenly took over by the nemesis of Turtles, Shredder. Take April as his hostage, Shredder unleash that he has an ability to turn the city into a floating island and challenges the turtles to come and stop him. The game is played from a side-scroll perspective and the ultimate task of the player to advance through the game by defeating enemies and their boss to save April.

The game serves as an improved remake version of the original game released in 1991, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time. It is also the sequel to the original arcade game. The player navigates the environment from a side-scroll perspective by controlling his one of many playable characters such as Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and more. Up to four players can play together in the form of the team either on online or local multiplayer. The game provides the player with a basic control setup, using which the player can perform a special attack, jump, and more in addition to movement. Many challenging levels are available, and each has its unique background setting, enemies, and objectives to complete.
