The game takes place in the near the future 2027, in the fictional metropolis city known as Sunset City. The player takes on the role of the protagonist, an employee of FizzCo, who must battle against the OD, the humans who have transformed into mutants after drinking the energy drink of FizzCo. During the gameplay, the player run on wall, use grid rails and zip lines to explore the dystopian city, and can use a huge arsenal of weaponry to attack enemies. The game supports co-op mode known as Chaos Squad, where the player must accomplish a variety of missions with seven other players. The player is tasked with eliminating the mess left behind from a brutal FizzCo had thrown of the release of its new drink. At the beginning, the player can customize his gender, hairstyle, body type, and out using the character creator. In the game, the player controls the character from a first-person perspective and struggle to jump onto the moving trucks, while avoiding obstacles and truck crashes and pile-ups.
