In the game, the player takes on the role of the protagonist named Koa, a small adventurer who wants to navigate the land that surrounds the player. During the gameplay, the objective of the player is to take care of his island, harvest the crops, and then create new tools and buildings, while sailing his boat to find out new islands and secrets. The game introduces the day/night cycle with climate events, and there are more than 100 challenging quests to make the land a better place to relax. Up to twenty characters are available to interact and trade with. While playing the game, the player must improve his boat, make it huge, better, and faster.

It takes place on a beautiful island that introduces more than eight distinct biomes. The seasons of the game will change as time passes. A dynamic weather system and day/night cycle are featured. In the game, the character is customizable that the player controls throughout the game. According to the storyline, the protagonist is shipwrecked on a magical island, where a mysterious fog has covered the area and polluting the environment, which causes the distress to the inhabitants of the island. Now, it completely depends on the player to retrieve the island by finding sprites to dispel the Murk.
