Still Life
Still Life is an Adventure video game created by Microids and published by The Adventure Company for Microsoft Windows and Xbox. The game come with Single-player mode and it serves as the sequel to Still Life 2 video game, released in 2009. It uses the storytelling device of switching back and forth between two characters. The story follows FBI Special Agent named Victoria McPherson, who is investigating the set of brutal murders in Chicago to advance. While exploring her father for Christmas, the player finds out an old notebook that related to her grandfather, who is a private investigator named Gustav McPherson. After finding the book, the player is surprised to learn that her grandfather has been involved with investigating the similar series of murders in old 1920s. During the gameplay, the player can alternate the storyline between two characters as they struggle to work their way to hunt down what seems to be the same serial killer over seventy years apart. Siren: Blood Curse is a Horror-Survival, Adventure, Simulation, and Single-player video game developed by SCE Japan Studios. It is the third main installment in the series of Siren and offers the same gameplay to follow. Throughout the game, the player serves as a navigator, where the mission is to complete missions to progress through the story. The player comes to encounter the shibito, the game’s main protagonist.
The sight jack ability of the player allows him to see through the eyes of other characters. Sight jacking is important to survive in the game, such as the player can only discover clues to their next target through this ability. The player’s heartbeat will sound to warn the player if the character enters the deadline area.
If the player gets a shibito’s attention, it will attack the player until he attains death. If the player successfully hides from a Shibito, the enemy may give up and resume the player to perform the recent activity. The core features of the game are Enemies, Sight Jacking, and Third-person Perspective.
