The title serves as the remastered edition of the original title StarCraft, released in 1998. The game retains the assets of the original title but offers Ultra HD graphics, modern online feature, and pre-recorded audio. The improved graphics support up to 4K HD resolution, and it comes with several improvements in multiplayer matchmaking, saved settings, and social integration. The player is capable of pairing his online accounts from the original title with the new online account to continue his statistics into the remastered version. There are different factions available, and the player needs to select his favourite one to partake in the world to battle against enemies. The game is played from an isometric perspective, and the player commands his troops using the point-and-click interface. In the game, the player can build bases, recruit armies, and equip them with weapons to use in the battlefield against rival forces.
