Star Ocean: The Second Story is an Action Role-playing and Single-player video game developed by Tri-Ace and published by Enix for the PlayStation platform. It is the 2nd installment in the series of Star Ocean and is marked as the first title to be released outside of Japan. The game takes place in the fantasy-themed world, and the storyline revolves around a young man who is stranded on an undeveloped planet. On the planet, he encounters several companions, and his main objective is to fend off a plot from an evil organization that spans several worlds before locating his way home. The game provides the player an option of enjoying the game as Rena or Claude, with an epic journey evolving and ending differently based on the decisions the player made during the gameplay. It offers similar gameplay to that of other RPGs. In the game, the player goes from dungeon to dungeon and town to town, following the story and a set of side-quests. During the game, the player will receive experience points, and he can use to level up his character to become dominant. With immersive gameplay, superb graphics, and crisp visuals, Star Ocean: The Second Story is a brilliant game to play.
