Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals is an Action, Role-playing, Single and Multiplayer video game for Nintendo DS. It is the sequel to the Spectrobes series. The game takes place in the fantasy world filled with foes, challenges, and objectives. According to the story, after creating a defense system from the Hrawl swarm, the protagonist named Rallen, who is a police officer and his sensible partner named Jeena have enjoyed several months of peace. Their days of peace has been disrupted when their beloved friend named Aldous who is a man from a star system, is vanished by a Krawl superior called Maja. The game embarks the player on an epic adventure to rescue his mysterious friend. It offers challenging quests that the player has to complete at any cost to earn experience points and the world consists of different environments. He has to fight against monsters and foes with his partner using different weapons. Upgrade weapons, upgrades and other tools using experience points.
