The game revolves around an Artifact known as “Skull Heart” that grants wishes to Women and if a women with an impure heart wishes something, The Skull Heart transforms her into a Skullgirl. The ultimate purpose of a Skullgirl is to only fight others like herself and defeat them in order to survive. Skullgirls lets you be one of that girls and go fighting solo or in teams of 2 or 3 and knock out the other teams. The game mostly focuses on close combats and PVP fights against the rivals and allows you to make teams of Two or maximum three characters, knock down your opponent before your health totally depletes and earn points and reputation.
