Shivers
Shivers is an Adventure and Single-player video game created and published by Sierra On-Line. The environment of the game is set in the fictional haunted museum, and the story focuses on the protagonist named Sir Hubert Windlenot, who was a peer of the British nobility as an archaeologist. The interest of the protagonist in controversial fringe topics including hollow earth, ancient astronauts, etc. brought him the reputation of the mad scientist. The game deals with the first-person perspective and offers a similar gameplay style to the famous video game The 7th Guest of Virgin Interactive. It features an elaborate bar at the screen’s bottom which serves as the health bar, displaying how much the life essence of the player remains or has lost. In the game, the flashback feature lets the player review the cutscenes of the game and re-read most of the text that has been discovered such as books or notebooks of victims. Shivers offers addictive gameplay, superb mechanics, and smooth controls.
#1 Siren: Blood Curse
Siren: Blood Curse is a Horror-Survival, Adventure, Simulation, and Single-player video game developed by SCE Japan Studios. It is the third main installment in the series of Siren and offers the same gameplay to follow. Throughout the game, the player serves as a navigator, where the mission is to complete missions to progress through the story. The player comes to encounter the shibito, the game’s main protagonist.
The sight jack ability of the player allows him to see through the eyes of other characters. Sight jacking is important to survive in the game, such as the player can only discover clues to their next target through this ability. The player’s heartbeat will sound to warn the player if the character enters the deadline area.
If the player gets a shibito’s attention, it will attack the player until he attains death. If the player successfully hides from a Shibito, the enemy may give up and resume the player to perform the recent activity. The core features of the game are Enemies, Sight Jacking, and Third-person Perspective.
