Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master is a Platform and Single-player video game developed and published by Sega for Multiple Platforms. The game serves as the direct sequel to the previous title, The Revenge of Shinobi video game. It takes place in the 2D world where the antagonist name Neo Zeed is invading the environment once again.
The evil crime forces, although to have disappeared two years earlier, has returned, controlled by a man known as the Shadow Master. As compared to the previous installment, the action is smoother, with fewer focuses on difficulty and speed. The game includes the ability to run from place to place and features a character fully equipped with a new set of moves and techniques.
Besides the usual assortments of attacks and moves, the player can perform four special techniques of ninjitsu. But the player can use only one of them in each level to slay enemies. The player navigates the environment from a side-scroll, and his main aim is to become the master in the platform game by completing all levels of difficulty.
