It is the 2nd title in the subseries of Devil Summoner and takes place in the fictional city known as Amami based on the advanced metropolis. The game puts the player in charge of the protagonist, a member of a hacker group called the Spookies, who gain access to an online game designed to connect the inhabitants of Amami. According to the story, the fictional land is threatened by demons, and the world needs a hero. During the game, the protagonist can encounter supernatural forces and then work with them to investigate the mysterious attack by demons around the city. The player as the protagonist must explore the world from a first-person perspective, where he has to solve puzzles, fight against enemies and navigate dungeons to battle demons in turn-based combat. The main quests are to manipulate the world, interact with NPCs, and fulfill the requirements.
