Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: Volume III is an Adventure, FMV and Interactive Movie video game developed created by ICOM Simulations. It acts as the sequel to Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: Volume II, released in 1993. The game follows the similar format to the first two titles, except that there are three new exciting crime cases to solve such as The Solicitous Solicitor, The Bank’s Final Debt, and The Thames Murders. According to the first case, Melvin Tuttle, a promoted solicitor, has recently died of a heart attack. Scotland Yard hires Holmes and Watson to investigate the case since they believe that Melvin Tuttle was poisoned. As he advances through the game, they learn about the reputation of Tuttle for romancing different women, including the beautiful wife one of his employees. In the 2nd case, Oswald Mason is killed in his house by an intruder. The Exchequer has called detectives to investigate the death of Mason. As the player solves two cases, the third case will be unlocked to solve. With detective gameplay, superb graphics, and best mechanics, Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: Volume III is the best game to play.

The game puts the player in the role of the protagonist named Reika, who must travel to different time periods to find the most wanted criminal named as Luda, from her time. After detecting the antagonist, the player must struggle to fend off his evil plans. The game uses pre-recorded animation, instead of sprites to show the on-screen action. The gameplay is split into levels, referred to as time periods. The player starts the game in 4001 AD with the thief, who stole the time travel device. The antagonist plans to take over the world using the time travel device by changing history. Now, the player must use his device to pursue the evil and engage himself in the FMV gameplay experience.
