Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (also known as Shantae: ½ Genie Hero) is an Adventure, Platform, Side-scroll and Single-player video game developed and published by WayForward Technologies for multiple platforms. It is the 4th title in the series of Shantae and serves as the first title to be designed for HD game platforms. Like previous titles, the player can take on the role of the protagonist named as Shantae, who is a half-genie and can use her hair as a weapon to attack foes. During the game, the player can obtain dances that enable her to transform into different forms and each form has its unique abilities that can access inaccessible areas. The game offers a new transformation such as monkey, elephant and a bat, a crab, a mouse, and more. The transformations can be upgraded with new abilities using the earned points. The game split into several stages and the player can replay each stage to obtain new items to progress through the game.
