Shaman King: Power of Spirit is an Action-Adventure, Strategy, Single, and Multiplayer video game developed by Winkysoft. It serves as the second entry in the Shaman King series, offering similar gameplay to the first one. Throughout the gameplay, the player takes on the role of a protagonist named Yoh Asakura, who needs to battle against the Force Millennium and stop them from ruining the world.
The player can attack the foe in the playfield and hit combos to lower the enemy’s power. The health bar can be refilled by collecting all the collectibles and objects dropped by the opponents. At some points, the player will realize that he is fighting as a spirit of Shaman instead of Shaman himself. The player can use special moves to beat the enemies and make friends through the way.
In the multiplayer mode, there are many other Shaman Kings, but the player must be the one to save humanity. The game provides 300 seconds to the player to face plenty of enemies and survive. The game features a combo system such as regular chain attacks, air juggles, and air launchers. The blocking system allows the players to block the enemy’s attack and make it lockable to re-attack. The counter-attacks are specific to the type of attack a player is countering. The story mode has limited characters for each battle, whereas arcade mode allows the player to select any character from a series of fighters. In this beat-em-up adventure, two players engage in a fight where the player with remaining health wins. Each character has limited health, and the player’s goal is to eliminate the wellbeing of the rival first to claim victory. The game has a series of characters, and each character has his unique skills and attributes to outlast the rivals.
Every fight has a restricted time limit and within that limit, any of the participants has to claim victory. If the time runs out, the player with the highest remaining power will be the winner. The game offers a player match mode where the fighter can challenge any friend to see the best of all.
