Shadow Warriors II: The Dark Sword of Chaos is a Single-player Platform video game developed and published by Tecmo. The second installment in the Ninja Gaiden trilogy, the game revolves around the events set one year after the release of the previous title.
The game is about an evil emperor who devises a plan to dominate the world after hearing of the defeat of Jaquio and engulfs it in darkness with the help of an evil sword known as the Dark Sword of Chaos. According to the storyline, Robert T. Sturgeon recruits the protagonist of the game named Ryu Hayabusa and informs him that he is only the person who can fend of the antagonist.
In the game, the player controls the protagonist from a side-scroll perspective through a set of platforming levels known as Acts. The player can run, jump, and attack enemies to reach the end of each level safe and sound. There is an option for the player to dispatch enemies by either entrusting them using the dragon sword or taking down them using the power-boosting items.
