The game revolves around the historical events and serves as the remake of the classic designed video game by Bill Bunten and Dan for Atari. In the game, the player assumes the role of an explorer commissioned by the Queen and King of Spain to voyage to the new environment with an aim to claim the world for the Crown. In the game, the player must struggle to explore the world, battle against rivals, conquer their land and gain fame and fortune for himself. Between voyages, the player can purchase and customize ships and hire men to crew him. Like the original video game, the player can use three different skill levels and can select to navigate either the historical map or a world which is randomly generated by the game.
