Sengoku
Sengoku is a Side-scroll, Beat ‘em up, Single-player and Multiplayer video game offered by SNK. The game takes the player in the 2D world invaded by enemies. It is the first released in the series of Sengoku by SNK and ported to several home consoles, including Super Famicom, Mega-CD, and Neo Geo. It starts with the player choosing his playable character and then jump into the world to battle against enemies. Instead of using a health gauge, the game features a max of six health points. However, when a specific enemy is defeated, spirits of mighty forms become available to turn into. Throughout the game, the player needs to survive the waves of enemies by gathering colored orbs as power-ups. One health point is healed after gathering five green orbs. However, the red orb provides the player with a single sword. It offers an exciting storyline, in which centuries ago, a vicious tyrannical warlord was taken down by two Samurais but had sworn to back in the future. Upon returning, he unleashes the undead forces of feudal Japanese warriors to smash the Earth and its inhabitants. Now, the warlord is opposed by two powerful characters, one is ninja and the second is a western cowboy.
