Sengoku 3 is an Action, Side-scroll, and Single-player video game with an emphasis on Beat ‘em up, Arcade, and Fighting elements, developed by Noise Factory and published by SNK Corporation. It serves as the third title in the series of Sengoku, and once again it pits the player and his friend against the undead forces. However, the player can freely choose his character from a group and each with its unique weapons and abilities. It incorporates a complex fighting system similar to other fighting games focus on 1-on-1 matches, by offering the player different attack buttons and special moves focused on directional inputs. During the gameplay, the player can’t change the weapons or can transform into other characters as in previous games, but he can acquire various ranged weapons for specific attacks as well as unlock bosses to increase the characters. The player navigates the environment from a side-scroll perspective, and his main objective is to kill enemies and defeat them to make points. There are many stages, and each stage will let the player complete a set of goals to win.

Up to four players can play together in the form of the team either on online or local multiplayer. The game provides the player with a basic control setup, using which the player can perform a special attack, jump, and more in addition to movement. Many challenging levels are available, and each has its unique background setting, enemies, and objectives to complete.
