The game is the sequel to Sega Rally 2 video game, also developed by Sega. Unlike the previous installment, the game wasn’t released in Japan. It comprises three different racing modes such as Quick Race, World Championship and Classic. In the World Championship mode, the game focuses on Single-player game which takes the player across three different stages such as Alpine, Canyon, and Tropical and follows the format of the previous game. There are more than twenty-two awesome vehicles available, and the player can select his favourite one to jump into the racing event with an objective to defeat all the opponents within the time limit. Dakar 2: The World’s Ultimate Rally is a Racing, Single-player and Multiplayer video game created by Acclaim Studios Cheltenham and published by Acclaim Entertainment for PlayStation 2. The game lets the player explore the environment from either a first-person perspective or a third-person viewpoint. It mainly focuses on Off-road racing elements and comes with a variety of vehicles from which the player can pick up his favourite one, do the paint job and modify it in his style to partake in several racing events to show off his racing abilities. The game introduces the Rally mode, enabling the player to explore the environment through twelve different tracks, from France to Dakar. The tracks take the racers through forests, cities, and huge desserts. Most tracks are simple to explore, but the desert tracks let the player drive his vehicle freely and struggle to find out the checkpoints before the opponents. In the game, the player can select from the officially licensed cars, bikes, or even trucks from Dakar 2002, but only the similar vehicles can compete in the race. In the Racing mode, all the vehicles and tracks that have been unlocked in Rally mode can be chosen, as well as the Split-screen mode is also available supports up to two players.

It serves as the successor to Test Drive: Off Road 3 video game, and this game comes with thirteen drivable vehicles from which the player can choose his favorite one to drive in the roads. There are several modes, such as Single Race, Arcade, Free Ride, and Career mode. The player has a chance to show off his driving skills in one of many modes against rival players. In the game, circuit races are precisely as they seem and the player howls around a course through several checkpoints before the time runs out. It takes place in the open world environment where the player needs to prove his skills in a Ford Bronco, Hummer Dodge T-Rex, and more. While driving a car, the player can perform tower jump, drive at high speed, and complete the course within time to win.
