In the game, the player takes on the role of the protagonist named James Chase, who is an American and has volunteered to serve as a pilot in the RAF. The player is moved to the Battlehawks after showing average skill and bravery during the evacuations at Dunkirk. The game is played from a third-person viewpoint and in the game, the plane has limited fuel, but ammunition and mounted ordinances such as rockets, torpedoes, and bombs aren’t.
