It takes place in the fantasy-based environment and offers a thrilling story, revolving around the series protagonist named as Kirito and his fellows as they participate in the VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing) Game known as ALfheim Online. Unlike its previous titles, which offers MMORPG-style gameplay, it focuses on Action element instead of a Role-playing. There are up to nineteen characters available, from which the player can select his one to get into the world where he has to battle enemies, using three different types of weapons and his special abilities.
