SD Hiryu no Ken Gaiden is an Adventure, Fighting, Single-player, and Multiplayer video game developed by Culture Brain. The player plays like a fighter through the game, where the main goal is to beat the opponents by depleting their power meters to zero. The character whose energy meter approaches zero first will be out of the fight.
The game has multiple characters with some special powers, and the player can play with the desirable fighter. The player experiences a unique mode as attack and defend mode where one player serves as an attacker and the other as a defender. The attacker has ten seconds to inflict as much damage as he can, where the defender can’t attack.
The defender can use some special techniques to strike the attacker. After the turn gets over, the roles of both the player’s switch, and this process continue until a character gets out of the game. Vs. the mode has two participants and can use their best skills to be on the line’s top.

The player has to obtain the energy required to lock-free a dimensional portal and make progress. Some levels require the player to accumulate more energy to open the portal. After the portal is open, the player with a limited amount of time must enter it. If the player fails to do so, it will cause the player to lose a life, and he must restart.
The player has to use one button for attack and jump. The character can also climb walls and poles or hang onto certain kinds of ledges. The player performs backward flip jumps by doing a normal jump and pressing the pad in the opposite direction of the character.
