The game centers on the tradition of 2D adventure games like the first two entries of the series of Broken Sword. The player can assume the role of the protagonist named Brain Basco, who is a student of physics and got accepted to the University of California. The player is traveling from New York to California, during his journey the player has to stop on his way to purchase a book at a bookstore. He meets with a fleeing girl and he takes her to the hospital where he discovers that her name is Gina and she is the witnessed a murder. The primary aim of the player is to rescue the girl from killer and has to run away. The game offers challenging gameplay, consisting of a variety of chapters. The player needs to complete a certain objectives in each chapter. With superb mechanics, addictive gameplay and brilliant visuals, Runaway: A Road Adventure is the best game as compared to other Graphic Adventure games.

After that, the protagonist decides to take revenge from his neighbor. During the gameplay, the player creeps around the home of his neighbor by performing tricks. According to the story, the player acts as the star of the new Television Show with the same name, with cameras that are capable of tracking every move of the player as he sets traps like swing the chair, smeared painting, soap on the floor, and more. The main job of the player is to create disarray, struggle to increase ratings of his show to win awards. There are several levels and the main goal of each level is to play some tricks on his neighbor using every available item near the player character. Each stage is divided into four to five zones. The player must move the character from zone to zone to advance through the game.
