Roberta Williams’ Phantasmagoria is an Adventure, Point-and-Click, and Single-player video game developed by Sierra On-Line. Throughout the game, the player takes on the role of a protagonist named Adrienne Delaney, who gets trapped in a remote mansion filled with supernatural forces. The player can click on certain areas of the screen to control the player’s movements.
The player can also explore specific places and objects. The camera angles, depending on where the player moves the character. The game follows four mouse commands such as look, picking an item, use item, and walk. Using these commands, the player can talk to a selected person or use the items to make progress.
By right-clicking the cursor, the player can cause the character to perform different functions. The cursor turns red when it passes over an area where the player must perform an action. On the left side, there is a red skull button, which indicates the player about hints. The zooming ability makes it possible for the player to draw complete attention.

The Beast Within A Gabriel Knight Mystery is a Point-and-Click, Adventure, and Single-player video game developed by Sierra On-Line. It is the sequel to the Gabriel Knights: Sins of the Fathers and takes place one year after the storyline. All through the time, the player plays like a fighter named Gabriel, where the main mission is to fight the dark forces.
Gabriel comes across Ritter Castle in Germany, where his family is currently living. One day, a squad of peasants enters the castle, and the captain tells Gabriel about the terrible death of a little girl. A supernatural wolf has killed the girl and is a big threat to other inhabitants. This investigation brings the player and his companion Grace to a hunter world with dark secrets.
Most of the game is conversation-based, where the player has to interact with the NPCs through texts. The player has to click on the icons placed on the screen to perform relevant operations. Both Gabriel and Grace are available as playable characters either alone or in co-op mode.
#2 Noctropolis
Noctropolis is an Adventure, Arcade, and Single-player video game developed by Flash Point Productions. During the game, the player assumes the role of the protagonist named Peter Grey, who is a bookstore owner and winds up in the world of his favorite comic book. In this point-and-click adventure, the player needs to collect information and help the character make progress.
One night, Peter receives a package that eventually transports him into the Noctropolis, a city of secrets. Five deadliest arch-villains decide to gang up on Peter, mysteriously released from incarceration. The player has to find out who released the criminals and must stop them from wreaking havoc across the city of Noctropolis.
The player interacts with characters and objects that appeared in each world. Manipulation of items and solutions of puzzles is not easy. The player has to overcome the obstacles to advance the story. The game has a verb-based interface that shows up on the screen if the player right-clicks on the screen. Many conversations and cut-scenes are displayed inside a smaller screen of the main console.
