The game takes place in the ruined Island, and it puts the player in charge of rescue workers who have to build up to three islands. During the gameplay, the player has to remove debris to free the workers who are trapped in Rescue Team. The ultimate task is to repair the restaurant, build houses and repair bridges after collecting resources, equipment and tools. In the game, the player has to compete against the clock to gather gems, put out fires and struggle to save the swimmers. There are up to sixty challenging levels available split into three Islands. The player guides the worker to explore the land for resources and more. Crystal Defenders is the collection of two Tower-defense video games, developed and published by Square Enix. The video games uses the Ivalice’s setting and design different elements from Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rif. It introduces the selection of playable characters Final Fantasy-based classes, and lets the player engage in unique tower-defense gameplay experience. All the titles in the series are revolved around Tower Defense games comprised multiple stages and each stage is played from a top-down perspective.
