R-Type Final
R-Type Final is a Single-player Shoot ‘em up video game for PlayStation 2, developed and published by Irem. The story is set after a huge conflict against the Bydo, the antagonist in the R-Type video game series. The first mission of the player is to interrogate a mysterious enemy inside a space colony. There are over 101 spaceships available, and the player has to start one of them to start his journey. Some modified versions of spaceships are also available found in previous titles. The player can move across the world from a horizontal-scroll and pilot his ship to take down enemies for points. Each defeated enemies grant the player points which the player uses to unlock further content of the game to enjoy. Lots of complex levels challenge the player to complete the objectives by taking down waves of enemies. The game uses the side-scroll perspective for navigation. It takes place in the 3D environment full of enemies and challenging obstacles represented in the form of polygonal propellers and toy blocks. It also features a level editor, which lets the player make his custom levels including levels from scratch. In the game, the player controls an aircraft on a 2D plane. The debris falls off the screen as the player defeats enemies. If the player successfully manages to touch the debris, then the game grants the player extra mass and firepower. There is a massive variety of levels, and each level comprises a set of objectives.
