Quake III: Revolution is an Action, Shooter, and Single-player video game developed by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 2. During the gameplay, the player needs to kill all the opponents in the playfield utilizing a balanced set of weapons. While inspecting the world, the player controls the character from a first-person perspective.
The game comes up with several modes that include deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag, and team possession mode where each mode has unique gameplay. Deathmatch mode allows the player to survive till the end of the game with more kills and team deathmatch has a team of four members to complete the objective. In capture the flag mode, the player has to conquer the opponent’s flag and rescue his base from the foes.
It offers plenty of weapons to use, such as grenades, rifles, shotguns, plasma guns, rocket launchers, and much more. By making progress, advanced weapons unlock, and the player can get access to this weaponry. The game takes place in many landscapes, such as lava pits, waterways, space stations, and many more. Throughout the gameplay, the player needs to fetch the targets and eliminate them to win the match. While inspecting the world, the player controls the character from a first-person perspective.
The game has various game modes, such as story mode, arcade mode, unlockable challenge mode, and map designer mode that allows the player to create the desired map. Story mode allows the player to follow through a story as a single-player or get help from an additional character. It has a series of levels where each level contains three different kinds of challenges to complete and get to advance.
The game has 18 characters with different abilities and appearance where the game allows the player to select two characters for each specific mission. In the arcade mode, almost four teams take part where each team has four players to play against each other.
As the player finishes the story mode, a challenge mode unlocks that offers several challenges and a time limit in which the player must complete all the challenges. The core features of the game are Four Modes, Several Levels, Challenges, First-person Perspective, and Eighteen Characters.
