Psyvariar 2 lets the player explore the space environment using vertical-scroll perspective. The game revolves around shooting gameplay and supports a Single-player mode. It takes place in the space environment full of enemies who are looking for the player and his homeland in order to destroy. The player as the hero must pilot his spaceship with an aim to take down waves of enemies to make as many points as possible. Several challenging levels available and each has its unique set of objectives that the player has to complete to advance through the game. While playing the game, the player can face off hordes of enemies shooting at the player using the weapons, but the player must avoid their attacks to remain safe and struggle to reach the end of the level where a brutal boss awaits. The game becomes tough to play as the player moves to the high levels with increasing difficulty. It uses the old-school graphics and classic soundtracks which takes the player in the golden era of classic games of the 90s.
